Retford Ladies Probus Club were delighted to be back in Westhill Community Centre for their first meeting since lockdown. They were given a warm welcome by current president Jean Winder and other committee members. They reflected on those who couldn’t be with them for various reasons, especially members who had passed away during the long interim period.
They were given the programme from October 2021 to June 2022, which looks diverse and interesting, and they were pleased to be able to book their Luncheon at Ye Olde Bell on 10th December.
After chatting with people they had not seen for a long time, members finished with a quiz which really got their addled brains working, although judging from the results much more work is needed in that department!
The speaker for Wednesday 10th November will be Cathy Wright, who will be demonstrating how to make truffles. They meet at 10.00am for 10.30am for coffee and biscuits. If you think Ladies Probus is something you would be interested in, then the group invite you to join them at Westhill Community Centre, Westfield Road, Ordsall.
