Clarborough Church has a full programme of events planned for December and the run up to Christmas. On Saturday 7th December at 7.00pm their annual joint concert with Worksop Miners Brass Band and the Village Harmony Choir takes place. This is fast becoming a tradition and hugely popular. Tickets are now available from June on 01427 880965.
Thursday 12th December is the church’s choir and bells evening, a light hearted social evening, to which everyone is invited. There will be an opportunity to hear the choir and bells, and even to ‘have a go’ on the bells and their new handbells.
Clarborough School will be in church on Friday 13th December for their carol service, and children are invited back into church on the Saturday afternoon (14th December) for a festive ‘Messy Church’. There will be lots of crafting activities and games.
Christmas services include their traditional telling of the Nativity, ‘The Christmas Story’ told through words and music, on Sunday 15th December at 6.00pm. Midnight Mass, the first communion of Christmas, takes place at 11.45pm on Christmas Eve.
They look forward to welcoming you all to Clarborough Church throughout December; it is a special time of year in the church calendar and a time for celebration. Please check the church website, www.cwchurch.btck.co.uk, for details of all their events and services, or see their Facebook page, St. John the Baptist Church Clarborough and Welham.
