Last month’s walks took Worksop Ramblers members to Bonsall, Mosborough, Coal Aston, Belper and Kiveton.
Highlights along the way included the Limestone Way, Graves Park, Beauchief Abbey, Strutt’s North Mill in Belper, Harthill Reservoir and the Chesterfield Canal.
August walks are planned in the Bolsover, Laxton, Staunton Harold, Winster, Alport Heights and Wingerworth areas.
The group’s programme includes walks on most Sundays and alternate Thursdays, with a range of grades from leisurely (A) to strenuous (C). Most walks are between seven and nine miles long.
Visitors are always very welcome and are invited to ‘try out’ the group on up to three walks before deciding whether to join the Ramblers.
