The countdown is on for what promises to be one of the most memorable nights in Worksop’s recent history as Worksop’s Got Talent prepares to take its final bow.

Now celebrating its tenth anniversary, the much-loved talent competition will come to an end with a spectacular finale at North Notts Arena on Friday 6th November, bringing together local residents for one last celebration of community spirit, talent and charitable fun.

Professional footballer Ella Rutherford and Coronation Street actor Kyran Bowes will join the judging panel.

Ella, who has over 420,000 combined social media followers, is a popular English professional footballer who began her career at Millwall, making her senior debut at just 16 years old. Since then, she has played for numerous clubs including Bristol City, Crystal Palace, Leicester City, Charlton Athletic, Portsmouth and Ipswich Town and she has represented England at international level too. Now playing for Millwall Lionesses, Ella is no stranger to performing under pressure, although this time she will be swapping the football pitch for the judge’s chair.

Kyran is best known for playing Jack Webster in ITV’s ‘Coronation Street’ for the last 10 years. He said: “I’m so excited to take my seat on the judging panel for the last ever Worksop’s Got Talent. I’ve heard so much about this prestigious event and it’s such an honour to be a part of its final event.”
The profile of this local talent showcase has grown into one of the region’s most successful community events, attracting celebrity support from across the worlds of television, sport and entertainment.

This year’s epic finale will bring together 700 members of the local community for one final celebration. Contestants in this year’s show include comedians, a gymnastics troupe, a drummer, the show’s first ever ventriloquist, diverse singers and lots more.

Over the past ten years, talented performers from across the region have stepped onto the stage to sing, dance, perform comedy, showcase musical talents and pursue dreams. In doing so, they have entertained thousands and helped raise more than £185,000 for charity.

High-profile celebrities have supported the event in the past, both in-person and virtually. With the likes of Simon Cowell, Piers Morgan, James Corden, Kym Marsh and Boris Johnson previously lending their support, anything is possible at this year’s event.

James Clarke, organiser of Worksop’s Got Talent, said: “After 10 years, I want the finale to be bigger, more exciting and more memorable than anything that we’ve ever done before. We can’t wait to reveal the rest of our celebrity judging panel and, of course, see the amazing finalists take to the stage one last time.”

Due to it being the last ever event, tickets are selling faster than ever and can be purchased via www.ticketsource.co.uk/worksopsgottalent.
