Retford Business Forum has a programme of free family entertainment planned for Retford’s Big Market Days and the festive season.
Retford Big Market Day takes place on Saturday 19th September, from 10.00am to 1.00pm, in Retford Market Square and town centre.
Mr Mouse Stilton, the stilt-walking mouse, will be searching for cheese, while Hathersage Brass Band returns to provide live music.
The farmers’ market will remain open until 1.00pm and the traditional Saturday market will run from 8.30am to 2.30pm. Businesses wishing to book a stall can call 01909 533533 or email licensing@bassetlaw.gov.uk.

- Saturday 17th October – The Big Bird stilt-walker
- Saturday 21st November – two stilt-walking Christmas elves
Retford Illuminate Winter Festival of Light will run from Sunday 29th November to Saturday 19th December.
The programme includes:
- Sunday 29th November – Retford Christmas Market and lights switch-on
- Wednesday 9th December – Retford Illuminate Winter Festival of Light parade
- Saturday 19th December – Retford Big Market Day’s grand finale, featuring the Frost Fairy, Hathersage Brass Band, free face painting, Santa and more to be announced
