Town Hall Live, Kirton-in-Lindsey, has three exciting concerts coming up in November.

Friday 7th November

Alice Howe and Freebo

Alice Howe and Freebo, from Los Angeles, California, last graced the Town Hall Live stage in March 2024, and it is a pleasure to welcome them back. They are compelling performers, leading and supporting each other through well-crafted songs, flawless harmonies and tasteful instrumentation.
To hear Alice sing is to be captivated by the natural, unaffected beauty of her voice. There is no artifice or exaggeration – just authentic, emotionally resonant singing in the tradition of the roots music that shaped her.
Freebo is best known for his decade of touring and recording with Bonnie Raitt and is regarded as one of the great bassists of his generation. The duo have collaborated since 2017, with Freebo weaving his unique fretless bass stylings into Alice’s vocals for a performance full of chemistry. Earlier this year they released a live album reflecting that connection.
Tickets cost £16.00.

Saturday 15th November

The Pleasures

The Pleasures are an Americana and country-folk band fronted by renowned Australian singer-songwriter Catherine Britt and Melbourne’s Lachlan Bryan, joined by Brad Bergen on drums and Katie Bates on bass.
Their Town Hall Live concert will be one of only four UK dates on their European tour promoting their acclaimed second album Enemy of My Enemy. Their first album, The Beginning of the End, and its successor combine the best of Catherine and Lachlan’s musical worlds, blending rock and classic country. The Beginning of the End catapulted the band onto major festival stages across Australia and the UK, earning official showcases in America. Enemy of My Enemy has since received rave reviews worldwide. Support comes from Andrew Leahey from Nashville, who fronts his own band, The Homestead.
Tickets cost £17.00.

Saturday 29th November

Amy Speace

Amy Speace, from East Nashville, is a timeless singer-songwriter with one of the richest and most emotive voices in American folk. Her songs are luxuriously crafted, hanging together like a short story collection.
Since being discovered in 2006 by folk-pop icon Judy Collins, Amy has been recognised as one of the leading voices of the new generation of American folk artists. Originally a classically trained actress with The National Shakespeare Company, she began writing and performing her own songs in the coffee houses of Greenwich Village before moving to Nashville in 2009. Her songs have since been recorded by Judy Collins, Red Molly and Ben Glover.

Amy last performed at Town Hall Live in February 2020. Since then, she has released three albums, the latest being American Dream in summer 2024 – each release marking an evolution of her voice and artistry. Support comes from Demi Marriner, a member of Elles Bailey’s band, who recently completed her own headline UK tour. Tickets cost £16.00.

Tickets for all three concerts can be purchased from Brian on 01652 649230 or brianchudley@btinternet.com, from Morrisons Daily (Kirton), or online at http://www.wegottickets.com.
