Beat the ‘bleak mid-winter’ blues!

by | 13 February 2019 | Exercise, Hobbies, Sherwood

Outside the Cave (OTC) in Edwinstowe offers a range of services that can help you battle the winter blues this year. Weekly Yoga, boxing and circuits and Tai Chi classes can help you improve your physical fitness. If you prefer learning new skills as you improve your fitness, why not get outdoors in their ‘Green Gym’ (aka the community allotment) and dig and hoe your way to better health?

Their weekly mindfulness classes help you learn how to cope better with the stress and strains of daily life and adopt a more positive and happier outlook. If you want to feel better about yourself, their self-love course teaches you how to do just that. They run courses for adults, teenagers and tweens so something for everyone.

Lots of activities are naturally mindful and crochet groups run by ‘Torty B’ are becoming increasingly popular. They also offer a wide range of other hands on workshops such as spring wreath making, eco printing, and flower arranging, to name but a few. These sessions are a great way to meet new people in a friendly, supportive place.

Purple Lotus Acupuncture offers acupuncture, reflexology and Indian head massage every Wednesday and Saturday at OTC. Every Friday you can enjoy a relaxing holistic massage, facials and a range of other treatments from Pure Pampered Massage.

As if all this wasn’t enough, there is also a lovely range of products on sale at OTC from local crafters renting space from them. These gifts are beautifully unique and not to be missed so please pop in for a look.

Please visit www.outsidethecave.co.uk and subscribe to the exclusive members community to support this non-profit community group. For just £3.00 a month you will be donating towards sustaining the work OTC do and in return you will receive weekly newsletters, advanced booking opportunities, tips and inspirations and a free gift each month. They are here to help, so call in and see them or visit their Facebook page @outsidethecave or call 01623 822428 to find out more. Happy New Year!
