St Alban’s Church Choir, based in Wickersley, is an inclusive and friendly group of like-minded people who enjoy meeting together weekly in fellowship, music-making and worship. They are currently recruiting new members.
The choir plays an essential role in leading the music for choral services on a Sunday at 9.15am or 6.00pm (occasionally 10.00am on feast days).
They rehearse during term time on a Friday evening (7.15pm to 8.30pm), preparing a varied and balanced repertoire of hymns, psalms, canticles, and sacred anthems.
The choir sings to aid the congregation’s worship and in adoration of God.
Their calendar also features a number of special choral services and annual visits to Cathedrals to sing services or as part of a massed choir.
