Many local people know Frith Space Café as a welcoming community space in the heart of Rotherham town centre. Frith Space is part of Hopian, a local registered charity supporting survivors of domestic abuse and child sexual exploitation across South Yorkshire.
Over the last month, Frith Sapce has been temporarily closed while the charity reviewed and developed how the café can best support both our community and the charity’s long-term sustainability.
They’re pleased to share that they’re planning to reopen soon with a refreshed offer, including a new menu, a dedicated craft activity space, and an exciting new venture – the Second Chance Hobby Store.
Clear out your cupboards for a great cause Have you got unused hobby or craft supplies tucked away at home, or gifts that never quite got used? Hopian is collecting good-quality donations for the Second Chance Hobby Store, where pre-loved hobby and craft items can find a new home while raising vital funds for Hopian.
They would love donations such as:
- Jigsaws
- Diamond art kits
- Cross stitch and sewing kits
- Colouring books
- Lego
- Fidget toys
- Craft sets
- Model kits
- Other clean, good-quality hobby items
Your unwanted items could give someone else a new hobby, a summer holiday activity, or simply a little joy. All profits from the shop will support Hopian’s work with adults, children, and families affected by domestic abuse and exploitation.
