Retford Art Society’s spring and autumn exhibitions have become an integral part of the Retford art scene and are now in their 54th year!
The exhibition is open to the public, 8th to 11th and 14th to 18th November in St Swithun’s Church Cannon Square. Opening times are 10.00am (11.30am on Thursdays) until 4.00pm. The exhibition features original art at very affordable prices both framed and unframed, cards and crafts and prints.
Following on from a very successful fantasy landscape workshop by Karin Kristenson, the group is holding a feature workshop by Max Neale on 2nd December, 10.00am to 3.00pm. Life drawing continues every other week, 7.00pm at Swan Studio. The next sessions are 8th and 22nd November and are open both to members and non-members over 16 years. There is a limitation on numbers so best to get in touch. Members £5.00, non-members £7.00.
There will be a Paint Out Day on 23rd November at Newark Castle, weather permitting.
Saturday morning kids club is on 11th and 25th November.
The Swan Studio sessions are Tuesday (7.00pm) and Friday (2.00pm) for open sessions, free to all. £1.00 donation for tea coffee and biscuits. A great chance to discuss and paint, draw or whatever you like.
