It is often said that you wait ages for a concert, then two come along at once. March promises to be a bountiful month for The Scunthorpe and North Lincolnshire Concert Society.
On Friday 7th March, the Vienna Mozart Trio will perform Mozart’s Piano Trio in G Major, alongside notable compositions by Beethoven and Brahms. This will be followed closely on Friday 28th March by the Fibonacci Quartet, widely recognised as one of Europe’s leading string quartets.
It is an exciting time for classical music, and there is no better way to experience world-class musicians performing live. More people are discovering that classical music encompasses the deepest emotional aspects of any genre. The key to unlocking its magic is simply to listen.
Classical music has been shown to ignite energy, support mental wellbeing, and improve memory while reducing stress. Studies suggest it can even enhance children’s academic performance.
Tickets are priced at £18.00, with free admission for children and students when accompanied by an adult. Concerts begin at 7.30pm at Outwood Academy Foxhills, Foxhills Road, Scunthorpe DN15 8LJ.
The theatre offers a spacious yet welcoming environment. Visitors are encouraged to make an evening of it, with hot and cold refreshments available to purchase and the opportunity to win a distinctive raffle prize.
