At St Paul’s Church Morton — Gainsborough Musical Theatre Society (GMTS) presents “Under the Spotlight” a concert of Songs from the Musicals. Including — Phantom of the Opera, Chicago, Hairspray, 42nd Street, Sister Act, Shrek, Les Misérables and many more. This will be the third year running that we have hosted this very talented group of singers at St Paul’s. The concert will be an evening of show music not to be missed. Why pay West End theatre prices when you can enjoy songs from the musicals nearer to home?
The concert will be held on Saturday 8th September, commencing at 7.30pm. Admission costs £6.00 per ticket and children accompanied by adults will be admitted free.
As part of Heritage Lincolnshire, Lincolnshire Heritage Open Days 2018 we have been asked to open the church. This is so that the ten windows designed by the great Victorian artist Sir Edward Burne-Jones, who worked on them in co-operation with designer William Morris , which are a rare and valuable possession can be viewed. The church will be open on Saturday 8th September and Sunday 16th September, from 10.00am to 4.00pm both days.
Further information about the above two events can be obtained from the Churchwarden Alan Clapham at ca.clapham@talk21.com.
