Do you love dogs and have some free time on your hands? Volunteer at Jerry Green Dog Rescue’s Gainsborough shop and support rescue dogs as they search for their forever homes.
No two days are the same as a charity shop volunteer and tasks vary from helping to display stock, taking donations, chatting with customers and much more. Better still, all the charity shops are dog friendly – so there’s guaranteed to be some doggy visitors to fuss over too!
Talking about why she supports Jerry Green Dog Rescue, retail volunteer, Melissa said: “I’ve always been a dog lover and my dog Lily is spoilt rotten! I know other dogs aren’t as fortunate which is why I volunteer. I want to help other dogs have the best life. I really look forward to volunteering each week and I enjoy meeting all the different people who come into the shop, especially the customers that bring their dogs to see us!”
Time commitments are completely flexible around your lifestyle, and volunteering just ten hours could fund up to four dogs to receive a set of vaccinations.
As well as helping rescue dogs in the care of Jerry Green Dog Rescue, there’s so many personal benefits to volunteering including learning new skills, meeting new friends and enhancing your CV.
