Dancing is a great way to feel good. It lifts the mood, keeps people active and offers a chance to make new friends. Village Dance is a travelling group of musicians, dancers and callers who stage a monthly barn dance in rural communities, encouraging people of all ages to take part.
The dance routines are simple and easy to learn, so everyone can join in. No experience is needed – just turn up and take part. Visitors can come along with friends or on their own, and the lively folk music soon creates a fun and welcoming atmosphere.
The next event takes place at West Stockwith Village Hall, Main Street, West Stockwith DN10 4HA, on Wednesday 13th May from 8.00pm to 10.45pm.
Entry is £2.00. Guests are invited to bring their own refreshments and enjoy an evening of music and dancing. Musicians are also welcome to bring their instruments and join in.
