Town Hall Live, Kirton in Lindsey continues to bring the best in Roots, Americana and Folk music to the town. Now in its 13th year, 2023 will see acts from America, Canada, Australia and the UK headlining concerts.
The first concert of the year is on Friday 20th January, when New Orleans style pianist Dale Storr headlines. Dale was brought up in the area and went to Huntcliff School in the town. He now lives in Sheffield, but his parents still live in Kirton. It will be some homecoming.
Blues in Britain Magazine recently wrote: “If there is a better New Orleans style pianist than the outrageously talented Dale Storr, please point me in his or her direction because he or she must be very, very special.”
In the noughties Dale established himself as a highly sought-after pianist backing many of the top blues stars. His love of New Orleans was always going to take precedence and in 2008 went solo with his now-acclaimed ‘Sounds of the New Orleans’ show.
Since than he has wowed audiences across the world with his intoxicating mastery of the piano and vocals. Dale draws in his audience with the rich history of the music, telling stories of his much-loved piano heroes. Thickets for this concert are priced at £14.00.
On Friday 3rd February, Canadian duo Madison Violet headline. Madison Violet comprises Lisa MacIsaac and Brenley MacEachern. They have been performing together for 20 years and have released 11 albums. The pair are exceptional storytellers, skilled instrumentalists and perfect harmonists. Their voices soar, perfectly complement each other, as they sing lyrics that will both mend and break your heart.
They received dozens of accolades for their work, have amassed millions of streams on Spotify and have been placed in CBC’s Top 20 multiple times. Their latest album ‘Eleven’ is considered their most candid work to date and is filled with deeply personal stories of love and loss. Tickets for the concert are prices at £15.00.
