The Trentside Singers and their tuneful voices sang in Christmas cheer on a snowy day at Upton and Kexby Village Hall.
The afternoon event was organised for the Trentside Group of the five Women’s Institutes in the area: Kettlethorpe, Lea, Saxilby, Sturton and Upton and Kexby. A member from each group took part in the celebrations to recite poetry and readings. A dramatisation of Cinderella was delightfully droll in its delivery, bringing a smile to everyone’s faces.
Mince pies and refreshments followed the entertainment. In the true spirit of Christmas, the proceeds were kindly donated to charities within the community. Grateful thanks are given to everyone who helped make it a wonderful way to start the season.
