The Arts Society Gainsborough and District’s lectures are held at the Trinity Arts Centre, Gainsborough DN21 2AL.

On Thursday 6th November, Paul Bahn will present ‘New Advances in Ice Age Art’, exploring recent discoveries and interpretations that shed light on prehistoric creativity. The following month, on Thursday 4th December, Patrick Craig will deliver ‘Entertaining Angels Unawares: Angels in the Bible, Music and Art’, a fascinating look at how these celestial beings have inspired artists and composers through the centuries.

Members can book a light lunch, priced at £7.00 and served from 12.30pm on lecture days, by contacting barnyhsek@icloud.com or calling 07779 023122 no later than the preceding Monday. The Trinity Arts Centre bar is also open, providing the perfect opportunity to meet friends before the lecture.

Visitors are always very welcome. Entry is £10.00 on the door, and attendees are asked to take their seats by 1.45pm. For further information, contact Chairman Leslie Whiting on 07871 459803 or Publicity Officer Jillian Horberry on 07771 430400.
