A massive thank you is sent by St Barnabas Hospice to everyone who attended their Bring a Gift Coffee Morning on 8th February at their Gainsborough Hospice. Just under £250.00 was raised from the generous donations visitors gave, not to mention the amazing array of presents people so kindly brought along! The money raised, along with the gifts donated, will go to great lengths in helping the charity secure a future where anyone living with a life-limiting or terminal illness can access the hospice care they deserve.
St Barnabas was extremely pleased to welcome honoured guests, the Mayor of Gainsborough Town Council, the Chairman of West Lindsey District Council, and pupils of the local Queen Elizabeth’s High School. It was a great opportunity to showcase the ‘Art Wall’ featuring photographs submitted by the Queen Elizabeth’s pupils, which are making the hospice shine brighter than ever. Thank you to both the Mayor and the Chairman for helping to announce the winning art work.
The Bring a Gift Coffee Morning signifies the start of the hospice’s weekly coffee mornings, which will be taking place every Thursday from 10.00am to 12.00pm at the St Barnabas Gainsborough Hospice (DN21 3AD). Entry is free and all are welcome to pop by to enjoy a coffee whilst getting to know others in our local community.
Finally, although it feels like Christmas is only just behind us, slowly but surely summer is approaching, and so is the charity’s annual Plant Sale! Originally planned for Sunday 20th May, it will now be taking place on Sunday 27th May from the Gainsborough Hospice.
Keep your eyes peeled for more details in the coming months and please contact email@example.com for any queries, or if you can help support this event by donating plants.
