St Barnabas Hospice have lots of things happening in the upcoming weeks to encourage you to get involved in their fundraising.
Gin and Jammies, Just the Tonic
Gin and Jammies, Just the Tonic returns this spring, giving you and your friends a fun and relaxing evening to look forward to including gin cocktails, live music and spa treatments.
The live online event provides a night of gin tasting and cocktail making with Amy Conyard; live music from the number one Gary Barlow Tribute Act Dan Hadfield performing Take That classics, followed by a relaxing ‘at home’ Temple Spa facial with local beautician Nicola Young from Beautiful Panda.
Addicted to Scents’ Sarah and Lottie will share their story and all about their products.
You will be posted a party pack including a sample of the new Bottomley Distillers and St Barnabas’s gin and mixer, a shopping list to make cocktails, your Temple Spa mini products, a silk eye mask and wax melts from Addicted to Scents. One lucky Gin and Jammies ticketholder will win a luxury hamper.
Tickets are £20.00, and the dress code is, you guessed it, pyjamas. Remember, by purchasing a ticket you will be supporting the hospice to provide care for the most vulnerable people in Lincolnshire. Any donations on the night will go towards their ‘Gin and Jammies’ fundraising total. All ticketholders must be over the age of 18. Please drink responsibly. The Donation Drive-Thru is back!
After huge success last year, St Barnabas are delighted to have brought back their Donation Drive-Thru to their Central Warehouse in Lincoln from Monday 12th April. This means supporters will be able to donate unwanted items for their charity shops to sell once again.
They are operating a booking system due to limited storage space and kindly request that you do not turn up without booking a time slot through their website. Please focus on quality of items over quantity, and limit these to a maximum of ten bags and / or boxes per household.
Book your slot at www.stbarnabashospice.co.uk/donationdrivethru.
St Barnabas Hospice’s shops opened their doors once again from Monday 12th April. They will be accepting donations in the shops, but please limit them to three bags and / or boxes, and please call ahead to check the shop has space before making a special journey. More information can be found on www.stbarnabashospice.co.uk/shops.
They also hope they can tempt you to gift them a few hours of your time and volunteer with them. Serving customers, sorting donations, making tea – they have a role to suit everyone! Please visit www.stbarnabashospice.co.uk/get-involved/volunteer/ or call 01522 518221 for more information.
Don’t Quit, Get Fit!
This new fundraising challenge is for all adults, children and families across Lincolnshire and it doesn’t matter if you are a pro athlete or a beginner who wants to try something new. It’s the opportunity to either lose them Lincolnshire lockdown pounds, try something new or challenge your abilities.
Cycle or run the distance between St Barnabas Hospice bases (296km) or walk 12,000 steps a day for a week. Did you know this is the average steps a day the charity’s nurses take when providing end of life compassionate care?
However, that’s not to say that challenge is the right one for you. You can make up your own challenge if you wish and set yourself some new year goals and achievements while fundraising for the hospice.
This challenge is completely free of charge – all they ask in return is that each participant fundraises a minimum of £71.40. This covering over two hours of vital physiotherapy or occupational therapy sessions for their patients. Sign up at www.stbarnabashospice.co.uk/dontquit/.
St Barnabas Hospice Bunny Hop
Thank you to all the little bunnies that signed up to the St Barnabas Bunny Hop and a big thank you to Morrisons at Gainsborough who donated chocolate eggs for the Bunny Hop.
