Missing the Proms already? Have no fear – the Scunthorpe and North Lincolnshire Concert Society is here to promote classical music in all its glorious forms.
Jeneba Kanneh-Mason, part of the extraordinary Kanneh-Mason family of seven siblings who have been making waves in classical music since 2018, will open the 2025–2026 concert season. Her BBC Proms debut with the Chineke! Orchestra, performing the Florence Price Concerto, was praised as ‘demonstrating musical insight, technical acuity, and an engaging performing persona’ (Music OMH). Her programme will feature works by Bach, Beethoven and Chopin.
Single tickets are £18.00, while annual membership for seven concerts costs £90.00, offering excellent value. Children attend free with an accompanying adult. All concerts take place at Outwood Academy Foxhills, Foxhills Road, Scunthorpe DN15 8LJ, starting at 7.30pm. Car parking is free, interval refreshments are available, and raffle tickets can be purchased. The venue offers easy wheelchair access.
