by | 7 August 2021 | Gainsborough, Rotary

On Friday 2nd July the Rotary Club of Gainsborough held its presidential hand over and celebrated its 60th anniversary.
Outgoing President David Cowell handed over the reins and tenure of office to the incoming President Julian Needham. The club wish him well in his year of office.
It was a good for club members to be together again – albeit utilising the rules of social distancing. The weather was kind for this open air event, making everything more pleasurable for those attending. Much Rotary revelry was there in force. A really good time was had by all.
They were graced with the presence not only of club members, satellite club members, families of members but also Rotary district governors and assistant district governors. A fine turn out helping the club celebrate this milestone anniversary.
Their new president has promised to continue the good works that the club has done in the past and will be promoting any new ideas that the club can be active in. As lockdown eases the new ideas will soon come to fruition. Once again, the club will be at the forefront of charitable fundraising that should benefit Gainsborough in general. Keep following the announcements they will be making. As lockdown eases prepare yourselves for exciting times.
