The Retford and District Branch of the Royal British Legion warmly invites members of the Armed Forces community in Retford and surrounding areas to join them for Operation Christmas.
What is Operation Christmas?
As winter, dark nights and the New Year approach, the branch is organising a Christmas lunch for the Armed Forces community. This time of year can be difficult for some, particularly those who struggle with loneliness or social isolation. This small gesture is a reminder that they are not forgotten and remain part of a wider Armed Forces family in Retford and the surrounding villages. Eighty members of the Armed Forces community and a guest, along with branch members who support the RBL throughout the year, are invited to attend. The event will take place at The Well on Wednesday 17th December at 12.00pm.
- 12.00pm: Veterans and guests arrive
- 12.15pm: Welcome drinks served (non-alcoholic and soft drinks available)
- 12.45pm: Lunch served
- 2.15pm to 3.30pm: Entertainment
- 3.45pm: Guests depart
This is a complimentary event. Transport will be provided for those with mobility issues or without their own means of transport.
