The Champion Outdoor Bowlers from last year recently held a competition with members of the Gainsborough League, on the Marshalls Sports Ground. It was a very satisfying and enjoyable event, with an amazing turnout. After the winter months, the bowlers enjoyed getting out in the fresh air with friends either in competitive or friendly games.

Your local bowls club is open for new members of all ages and skill levels – go along, give it a try and see what all the fuss is about. Take friends and try as a group. Younger members are always welcome!
Despite some saying otherwise, outdoor and indoor bowls are played nationally by a younger age group these days. Bowls is not just for the older generation. Outdoor bowls has been around for approximately 100 years in Gainsborough; it is good to see a group of people continuing to enjoy the town tradition.
