Barry Cooper, President of North Notts Lions, recently attended Misterton Primary School to present book prizes to two year five pupils for producing excellent pieces of creative writing.
Max Baron wrote a story about sport and what it was like to play in an European Cup final.
Tyler Jones created an adventure story about being shipwrecked on an island with three lions.
This creative writing challenge, so ably completed by both boys, had been set by School Governor Tom Allen.
The Lions club had provided funding for the book prizes that had been chosen by the pupils themselves.
