The cautious approach to the re-opening of Wheatley Village Hall has meant that there have been relatively few events, all of which were organised and manned by local volunteers. The number of people attending the events has been pleasing, with both the Race Night and Quiz Night being fully booked. Both coffee mornings were also well-attended with lots of new faces.
These successes give a sound base on which to proceed with planning social activities in the months ahead. Plans are now in progress for activities at the Village Hall starting in January 2022, and all these activities will be posted on the website.
The cautious approach at the Village Hall in South Wheatley, with the safety of users being of paramount importance, still applies. For example, while both meeting rooms are available for use, they may not be used simultaneously by different groups and the number of people allowed to attend events has been reduced. Having said that, the hall is available for hire for groups such as clubs and special-interest groups requiring a spacious, comfortable place to meet or for sports and fitness groups requiring an indoor space.
Remember the village hall is there for the whole community; if you’d like to make a booking for that special occasion or add to the programme of regular events, please get in touch.
The main hall costs £12.00 per hour and the committee room £8.50 per hour. Please note that these rates are fully inclusive and include full kitchen facilities, stage with stage curtains and lighting, audio / visual system with overhead projector and dropdown screen, full sound system, Wi-Fi, etc.
