Morton Village Hall Bowls Club

by | 28 September 2021 | Gainsborough, Hobbies

Morton Village Hall Bowls Club was formed over 25 years ago and meets on Mondays and Wednesdays, starting at 2.00pm and finishing at 4.00pm, and on Thursdays between 7.00pm and 9.00pm.
For an introduction to the game of indoor carpet bowls, you are invited to go along to their Monday taster sessions, starting on 6th September for six weeks, and 11th October being the last. All equipment is provided by the club. As they play on long mats you are required to wear flat soled footwear. They play two games of eight ends with a refreshment break between (hot or cold drinks and biscuits).
In previous years they have held a number of social events (normally involving food). Obviously, this has not happened recently because of the COVID pandemic, but they hope to start these again when it is deemed safe to do so.
If you have played bowls before you are welcome to join them. If you have not played bowls before, they invite you to join them and start having fun with the game. Young or mature, you will be made welcome.
Annual membership of the club is £2.00, and the session fee is £2.00. The introductory sessions are free and the aim of the club is to have fun.
Please call Tim on 01427 615420 for more details, or choose a day to play and turn up for the start of a session.
