Quiz Night – Saturday 9th November, 7.00pm
This is a popular event in November, so remember to book your table early! £7.00 per person, which includes a pie, peas, and chips supper.
For those not wanting food, it’s £4.00. To book, contact Lucille on 07801 750682 and ensure you have confirmation of your booking. Bring your own drinks, glasses, and nibbles.
60th Anniversary Celebrations
A well-attended coffee morning was held on 20th September to celebrate the Village Hall’s 60th anniversary. Many thanks for your support, and special thanks to the cake makers for the wonderful selection of homemade cakes, which were much enjoyed by all!
The next 60th Anniversary Celebration event will be a dance featuring the ever-popular band Giant Hogweed on Saturday 23rd November. If you have a 1960s outfit tucked away, please wear it! Alternatively, it’s also 20 years since the new Village Hall opened, so feel free to wear something from the early 21st century! Tickets will be available soon for just £6.00 in advance, with more details to follow.
Magic Merlin for Children
On Sunday 24th November, from 2.00pm to 4.00pm, Magic Merlin will entertain children aged two to 11. Keep an eye out for ticket details.
Firebird Performance
On the evening of Thursday 28th November, the local Firebird TPA group, comprising talented young singers, will perform to entertain all. Tickets are £6.00 and will be available online.
Morton Feastival 2025

Table Top Sales
If you received your copy of Gainsborough Life before the end of September, you will have seen the reminder for the Table Top Sale on Sunday 29th September. If you missed it, don’t worry –there’s another sale planned for Sunday 3rd November, from 2.00pm to 4.00pm. Tables are £5.00. Contact Tracey on 07787 581896 to book.

Dance Night with Smudge
