Morton’s Scarecrow Competition results are in! The winner was Jim Royle made by the Hill family, an amusing and original scarecrow that took a lot of effort to make, and he was made of straw.
Marmalade Sandwich by Shirley Hoyles was second, a previous winner who always puts a lot of effort and detail into her display. Third was The King’s Day Off by Lucille Middleton. The King managed to doze despite the awful weather!
All the scarecrows got a vote from someone, so well done everyone! And thank you to all the makers for providing some interest and amusement around Morton.
Regular activities at the Village Hall will be continuing after the summer break. Please check what’s on on the noticeboards, on the Morton Village Events site, and in this magazine.
