Two fundraising events are planned in support of next year’s Morton Feastival. Following the success of this year’s July event, which provided a free and enjoyable day out for all, organisers hope the community will continue to show support by attending fundraising activities throughout the year.
The first will be a Table Top Sale on Sunday 12th October in the Village Hall. Running from 2.00pm to 4.00pm, it will feature a range of stalls and the added attraction of homemade cakes, with time to sit and chat after finding a bargain. Tables cost £5.00 and can be booked by calling Tracey on 07787 581896.
The second event is a Reggae Night on Saturday 25th October, also in the Village Hall. Shawn, whose reggae and ska performance was a highlight of this year’s Feastival, will be returning. Tickets are £10.00 per person, which includes Caribbean-themed food such as jerk chicken with rice and peas. Guests are asked to bring their own drinks. The evening begins at 7.30pm and will continue late into the night. Tickets are available from Jane on 07469 933224 or Tracey on 07787 581896.
Organisers encourage early booking for what promises to be a lively evening of Reggae Fusion.
