Unfortunately, it has not been possible to organise the Morton Feast weekend this year due to the present social restrictions which will probably still be in force in July. It is disappointing especially for those who enjoy the fun run, and the children who take part in the football tournament. And, of course, the summer fair will be missed as it has been an annual event for many years.
However, the parish will be holding its scarecrow competition again so look out for the fabulous display in gardens around Morton Village and Parish. They will be on display from 4th to 19th July, and maps and lists of the locations of the scarecrows will be available around Morton for you to collect. The organisers look forward to a cheerful display so do make sure you don’t miss it! They will also be awarding the Plowright Garden Cup for the best front garden so look out for the winner being announced on the noticeboards outside the village hall.
