Misterton Library needs your help

by | 2 July 2019 | Community facility, Gainsborough

Misterton Library has gone from strength to strength since being taken over by the Parish Council. It has opened for an additional afternoon each week, all classes at Misterton Primary School have visited, and there have been activities for children. Now, the library is looking for more volunteers to run and expand services.

No experience is needed — just a willingness to have a go. Full training is given and Inspire, the county’s library service, has a help line for on-the-spot advice. Volunteers are needed for the library’s opening hours, which are:

  • Tuesday to Thursday 2.00pm to 5.00pm
  • Saturday 9.30am to 12.30pm.

Anyone interested in volunteering to help support the library should contact The Misterton Centre and Library on 01427 890646.

Misterton Library is well-equipped with picture books and toys for children. But new or nearly-new toys are always wanted to help provide a welcoming and stimulating environment for toddlers. Anyone with suitable toys should take them along to the library during opening hours — please clean them first!
