At Lindsey u3a they provide educational, creative and leisure opportunities for people who are no longer in full time employment by offering a wide variety of monthly speakers.

Steve Lovell transported members to Cuba in January – a welcome diversion from the Arctic Blast we were experiencing here!

In February Tom Lane and friends Terri and Nigel entertained all with their songs, historic illustrations and anecdotes about ‘The Farming Year’.

Members are looking forward to Barbara Myer’s Wildlife Photography on 2nd March and Nancy Appleyard’s fascinating talk on ‘Body Language’ on 6th April.

Do any of these titles appeal to you? Join the group on the first Thursday of the month at Welton Village Hall. Doors open at 9.45am with a welcome cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit. If you’re going for the first time, tell someone on Reception and one of the friendly greeters will give you information about Lindsey u3a meetings and the various interest groups on offer.

If you can’t make 2nd March, why not join the group at the ‘Gardeners’ Retreat’ tearoom at Scothern Nurseries for a cuppa and a chat at 10.15am on the fourth Thursday of the month. The next one will take place on 23rd March, so whether you’re a newcomer or already a member go along and find out more about Lindsey u3a.

Everything you need to know about Lindsey u3a can be found at www.lindseyu3a.org.uk. You will find a comprehensive list of interest groups, where and when they meet plus news about visits and holidays arranged by members for members.
