In critical moments when time is of the essence and medical professionals require urgent transport of vital supplies, the Lincolnshire Emergency Blood Bike Service steps up. These volunteers are the unsung heroes of the healthcare system, providing a vital link between donors, hospitals and patients.
Those interested in learning more about their invaluable work are invited to attend a talk by guest speaker Gordon at the Lea Women’s Institute. The event is open to all – men and women – and will take place on Thursday 5th June at 7.00pm in Lea Village Hall, DN21 5JA.
With election season under way, the Lea Women’s Institute graciously relinquished their usual meeting place at Lea Village Hall, as it was requisitioned for polling day. Undeterred, the group voted with their feet – and appetites – and relocated their gathering to the scenic Torksey Lock Coffee House, LN1 2EH. There, they enjoyed a relaxed evening in the sunshine, sharing refreshments, laughter and lively conversation.
Thanks go to Jody and Amanda for their excellent hospitality, professional service and wholesome food, which received unanimous praise from all present.
