The next coffee morning at Lea Village Hall, Rectory Lane, Lea, DN21 5JA, will take place on Friday 6th June, followed by the next on Friday 4th July. Half the proceeds from the June raffle will be donated to St Barnabas Hospice.

Everyone is warmly invited to join the gathering at the Village Hall for a cup of tea or coffee – just £3.00 for a drink with either a mouth-watering bacon butty or a tasty slice of homemade cake. The coffee morning will run from 10.30am to 12.00pm and all are welcome.

There will also be an opportunity to purchase some handmade cards, so visitors are encouraged to check their diaries for any upcoming birthdays or anniversaries.

The hall offers a safe, warm space for those who may be feeling lonely or simply wish to get out and meet new people. A book swap is available too, with a wide range of new titles to choose from. New residents to the village are especially welcome, and it’s a lovely opportunity to meet others or catch up with friends over coffee and cake.

Coffee mornings take place on the first Friday of every month and a warm welcome awaits all who attend.

Following their successful visit in May, on Saturday 7th June, the A Salt ‘n’ Battery mobile fish and chip van will return to the Village Hall, serving from 4.30pm to 7.30pm. Although an outside bar could not be arranged for this event, attendees are welcome to bring their own drinks. Tables will be set out in the hall so that families and friends can enjoy their fish and chips together. Tea, coffee and cakes will also be available to purchase inside the hall.

Lea Village Hall is available for private hire. Anyone planning a birthday or anniversary celebration is encouraged to visit and take a look at the facilities, which include a fully equipped kitchen.

More information about events and regular clubs held at the hall can be found on the Lea Village Hall Facebook page or at leavillagehall.wixsite.com.
