The good weather brought everyone to the March coffee morning at Lea Village Hall. The raffle proceeds were divided between the charity of the month and the village hall, with £20.00 donated to Marie Curie. Thank you to all who donated prizes and bought tickets. It was lovely to see some new faces alongside the regulars.
A special thank you to Lincs 4 Warmer Homes, who were there to offer free home energy advice.
The next coffee morning is at Lea Village Hall, Rectory Lane, Lea, DN21 5JA on Friday 4th April, followed by Friday 2nd May. Half the proceeds from the April raffle will be donated to The Bearded Fishermen, who provide mental health support and work to prevent suicide.
A representative from The Bearded Fishermen charity will be attending the coffee morning and Owlin’mad will also be there to showcase owl-related items, so please go and have a look.
Join them at the Village Hall for a cup of tea or coffee, only £3.00 for a tea or coffee with either a mouth-watering bacon butty or a tasty slice of homemade cake. The coffee morning will run from 10.30am to 12.00pm, and everyone is welcome.
On Wednesday 19th March, a new curling club started, run by Living Connections. It begins at 11.15am and costs only £3.00 per session, which includes a tea / coffee and cake. The club will meet every other week.
On 29th March, see the fantastic local artist Smudge, singing and playing music from the 60s to the present day. Bring your own drinks and nibbles for a night of dancing and entertainment.
