Coming up at Kirton in Lindsey Town Hall is:
From Prison to Pillar of the Community
Saturday 13th and Thursday 18th September, 1.30pm to 4.00pm
Did you know that the Town Hall is a recycled building? As part of the Heritage Open Days season, the Kirton in Lindsey Society will be focusing on its former history as part of Kirton Bridewell. Each session will involve a short, guided walk to look at other prison remains, followed by a tour of the hall itself, examining the architecture and the stories behind its history. Light refreshments will be available. The events are free, but booking is essential.

Annual Art Exhibition
Friday 3rd October, 5.00pm to 8.00pm, and Saturday 4th October, 10.00am to 4.30pm
The 14th Annual Art Exhibition will showcase a range of artistic techniques, including painting, pottery, textiles, and glass craft. There will be the opportunity to buy everything on display. Local artists, and some from further afield, will display up to four paintings in any medium. Each year has been different, with some regular exhibitors and some new ones each time. The standard is very high, and quite a few sales are made.
Visitors will also have the chance to take part in the Calendar Photo Competition and choose their favourite photographs to be included in the 2026 Kirton in Lindsey calendar.
The bar will be open on the Friday evening, and tea, coffee, and snacks will be available throughout Saturday. Admission is free; catalogues are £1.00, and all proceeds go to support the work of the Town Hall.
If you are an artist and would like to know more about exhibiting, there is still time to be part of the event. Contact Jo for more information at info@kirtoninlindseytownhall.co.uk, or add yourself to the art exhibition subscriber news at http://eepurl.com/drWu8j.
