Singing for Pleasure Choir Summer Concert

Wednesday 1st May, 7.30pm to 9.30pm

May Day was the ancient celebration of Beltane, when bonfires were lit to welcome the summer and people leapt over the embers for good luck. Well, there’ll be none of that but you can look forward to an evening of songs, music and readings. Regulars know that these concerts are always varied and fun, so do go along and join in. Tickets cost £7.00 (under-16s free) from Mary Hollingsworth on 01652 648435, Morrisons Daily (Market Place) or on the door.

Scunthorpe Concert Band Spring Concert

Thursday 9th May, 7.30pm

The Town Hall welcome back Scunthorpe Concert Band – a band for players of all ages comprising of brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments. They have an extensive music library ranging from classical music right through to contemporary music, movie themes, swing classics, stage and show tunes, and pop music. Refreshments will be provided. Tickets cost £8.00 (£4.00 under-16s) from Morrisons Daily (Market Place), Ken Wardman on 07591 591504 or on the door.
