All being well and current restrictions allowing, the Kirton in Lindsey Society intends to re-commence its regular meetings on Tuesday 22nd June.
The talk this time is titled Agrarian to Industrialist – when Paul Scott, from the Sir Joseph Banks Society, makes a return visit. He will be talking about Sir Joseph and his influence on farming and the manufacturing industry in Britain and beyond in the late 18th / early 19th century. This talk was postponed from 2020 which was the 200th anniversary of Banks’s death. Find out more at www.joseph-banks.org.uk/.
All meetings commence at 7.30pm in the Diamond Jubilee Town Hall, High Street, Kirton in Lindsey DN21 4LZ. The entrance fee is normally 50p including refreshments for members and £2.00 for non-members, except for special meetings. Booking is required.
They have two outings currently planned:

  • Lincolnshire Wolds Walk (Donnington on Bain area) on Saturday 24th July and;
  • A trip to Immingham Museum and Heritage Centre on Saturday 21st August.
