Kirton in Lindsey Society

The Kirton in Lindsey Society new season of talks starts on Tuesday 28th September.

Martin Hollingsworth will be presenting ‘A Kirton Miscellany’. He will be giving news and updates on recent finds and acquisitions to the Society’s collections.

Items include rescuing a ‘prison door’; a ledger and a ‘recipe’ book (not what you may be thinking!) belonging to William Creasey and gifted to the Society from an American. Artifacts such as a presentation silver salver; old pocket-watch and a ‘Kirton in Lindsey crested ware’ tea pot stand. Family history, old photographs and local history documents. Go and see for yourself.

The meeting is also the AGM, which will take place before the talk.

All meetings commence at 7.30pm in the Diamond Jubilee Town Hall, High Street, Kirton in Lindsey DN21 4LZ. Entrance fee is normally £1.00 including refreshments for members and £3.00 for non-members, except for special meetings.
