The Kirton in Lindsey Amateur Gardeners (KLAGs) 2025 season of meetings continues on Wednesday 16th April at 7.30pm in the Town Hall, Market Place, Kirton in Lindsey.
This month’s talk is entitled ‘Medicinal Plants: The Medicine Chest that is in Your Garden’. New speaker Hannah Sylvester will begin with a brief overview of herbal medicine and how it works, before introducing around ten different medicinal plants commonly found in gardens, yards, and throughout town and countryside – sometimes intentionally planted, sometimes appearing naturally.
Hannah is a medicinal herbalist and nature educator from Lincoln.
At each meeting, monthly competitions are held for members. This month’s competition will be ‘3 Tulips’.
Saturday 10th May is the annual plant stall in the Market Place from 9.00am to 11.00am. A variety of bedding plants, vegetable plants, and more will be available. Members are encouraged to bring along any spare plants to help raise funds for the club and find that missing gem for their garden.
New members are always welcome, and the group prides itself on being friendly and inclusive.
