After lots of rain in June, it certainly did not mirror the month of June we had last year. Marton Bowls Club’s Gala competition had to be abandoned after just two hours of play; but twelve teams and their friends were still able to enjoy a Marton Bowls Club lunch and take home their prizes from the raffle and tombola. The club are thankful for the support of everyone who came along.
If you would like to try outdoor bowling for the first time or would like to practice and improve your game, the club’s friendly games ‘Roll-ups’ are continuing on Thursday afternoons, weather permitting, starting at 2.00pm. You don’t need to book in advance, just go along on the day, to the green in Trent Port Road, near Marton Church and Village Hall.
The club still has a number of postponed games still to play and current members may be playing extra games in August and September this year! Why not join them?
