Would you like to find out how you can actively improve your health and wellbeing? Are you interested in learning more about the support available to you within the area?

Willingham-by-Stow Surgery, and its Patient Participation Group (PPG), would like to invite you to a free event at Upton and Kexby Village Hall on Saturday 16th March from 11.00am to 2.00pm.

The event will give you the opportunity to meet and talk to representatives from groups and organisations, all aimed at helping you, or a member of your family, to improve and maintain your health and wellbeing.

Organisations attending include Healthier You, Everyone Active, Age UK, Social Prescribing, men’s mental health organisations (The Breakfast Club, Shed Club) and Sturton by Stow Children’s Centre.

There will also be the opportunity to take part in demonstrations and activities, including how to use askmyGP, exercise suggestions for all abilities, hand massages, and talks on dementia, managing diabetes and Parkinson’s.

The event will include lots of information to take away relating to clubs, events, and societies in the local area, including befriending, IT help, respite care, carers support and lots more.

PPG member, Alison Robins, said: “This free event offers a holistic approach to individual health and wellbeing through information-sharing and access to services that complement the work of the surgery, enabling people to take a proactive approach to their wellbeing. This is an exciting event, which we hope will be the first of many.”
Plenty of parking will be available. Everyone welcome.

The PPG is a group of patients, carers and GP practice staff who meet to discuss practice issues and patient experience to help improve the service. If you are interested in joining to PPG, please see more information on the Surgery website.
