As part of the Kirton in Lindsey Society’s 30th year celebrations, on Saturday 7th April at 2.00pm Martin Hollingsworth will be leading a ‘Guided Historical Walk Around Kirton’. Meet in the Market Place to take part. It is free for members and the cost is £3.00 for non-members. Booking is required.
The season of indoor meetings continues on Tuesday 24th April at 7.30pm in the Town Hall, when the talk will be about ‘Lincolnshire Made Chairs’, an illustrated talk by William Sergeant, of The Lincolnshire Chair Museum. William will be revealing the extraordinary history of chair-making in the eighteenth and nineteenth century in the county.
Future talk topics include: Medieval Lincolnshire (May) and The War of the Roses (June). There are trips coming up to the Old Tile Works at Barton and also a walk in the Lincolnshire Wolds.
