Would you like to be part of an exciting new chapter in Girl Guiding? In keeping up with the times, Girl Guiding has introduced a new programme of fun challenges, new and old skills and a whole range of activities to suit all the members of the organisation, young or old. Any female is welcome to join. Girls aged five to seven can become rainbows, seven to 11-year olds would become brownies and guides is for those aged 11 to 14 plus. The senior section offers the challenge of also becoming a young leader, an occasional helper, or even to help behind the scenes. Girl Guiding in Gainsborough is run by a group of like-minded volunteers. There are different meetings held in various places and times around the town and surrounding villages, enabling access for all. Guiding is unique in that it provides a safe and secure environment in which girls can have fun, play games, socialise, meet new friends, learn and develop existing skills, take on challenges and earn badges along the way. We also have events throughout the year such as campfire nights, the opportunity for camping, outings and to join in with other local community events such as St George’s Day and Remembrance Sunday.
If this sounds like something you or your family may wish to be part of, we would love to hear from you. There are two main ways you can get in contact. You can go to the Girl Guiding website and click on ‘register your interest’ and fill out a short form. A leader will then be in touch with you via your preferred contact method. Alternatively, you can email firstname.lastname@example.org.
