Gainsborough writer’s success

A Gainsborough writer is celebrating her latest success. Mary Cook’s story of Romanian rescue dog Kamu, adopted by her and her husband Nigel, has been accepted for the Chicken Soup for the Soul series of anthologies, The Magic of Dogs.

Mary is a freelance writer of many years’ standing. Her articles, poems and short stories have appeared in numerous publications, both in print and online. She has been a reporter with the Skegness Standard newspaper and acted as overseas correspondent to the Tokyo-based magazine Hiragana Times. But this latest project is very close to her heart as royalties from this book support the US animal charity, American Humane.
