The Gainsborough Branch of the Royal British Legion has had a presence in the town for around 100 years, providing vital support for the Armed Forces community.
Every year they are involved in raising money for the Poppy Appeal and are overwhelmed with the generosity of the people of the town and surrounding villages.
So far this year they have attended events in the town including the King’s Coronation event at Marshalls Sports Field and the Armed Forces Day in Cleethorpes. Other events are planned later in the year.
Meetings at Trent Port are on the second Monday of the month at 7.30pm. Everyone is welcome.
