Gainsborough Rotary Pedal Car Grand Prix

by | 6 August 2018 | Community Event, Gainsborough, Rotary

The Gainsborough Rotary Pedal Car Grand Prix is one of the Rotary’s major charity events of the year, on Sunday 12th August.  It consists of teams of five persons racing around a track according to Grand Prix rules (loosely) and prizes are given for the team producing the fastest lap and for the best dressed team. All teams are encouraged to come in fancy dress to add to the fun of the competition. The racing is taken quite seriously by the teams in order to be the overall winners. Teams made from up of men only, ladies only and mixed teams are all welcome and adds to the fun factor.

On the day there will be a barbecue and a bar, in addition to refreshments such as teas, coffee, cakes and more. There will also be sideshows of vintage cars, tractors, The Studio dancers, as well as the various charity stalls selling their wares. We are hoping to have a karate demonstration and St John Ambulance will be there with resuscitation demonstrations — we almost guarantee to have something there to entertain all visitors.
