Misterton Jubilee Garden refurbishment

Parish councillors have started refurbishment of Jubilee Garden in advance of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June. Councillors Alex Myers and Nikki Jaggard-Smith did the work with two other members of the Parish Council’s Events Working Group.

There is a beacon to be erected in the central garden, which will feature in the beacon-lighting across the country on Thursday 3rd June. This will be followed by a bugle call, then singing of a Song for the Commonwealth and then the National Anthem. Proceedings start at 9.30pm.

Full details of what’s planned for the Platinum Jubilee celebrations will be in the next Parish Council’s newsletter as well as on the Council’s website and Facebook page.
