The Gainsborough Heritage Association is looking forward to another busy month. Everyone is encouraged to log on to the Gainsborough Heritage Association website and view the very latest promotional video starring local school children who have been taking part in film-making workshops, which have been funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
It’s an amazing piece and a credit to all who took part, and the volunteers who spent their valuable free time so this could happen. The Association is having a market stall on Saturday 13th September at Wordfest. The usual books and memorabilia will be on sale. Go along and chat to the stallholders, find out more about the centre, and learn how rewarding volunteering can be. Get the chance to have a go at brass rubbings. It will be a super day in the lovely revamped Gainsborough Market Place.
The monthly talks are proving ever popular and bringing in much-needed funds. The next one, Farming Tales with Craig Williamson, takes place at The Club on the Park on Thursday 25th September. This talk will be sure to make you smile. A new exhibition of Karl Woods’ Churches is on display. So, to all fans, don’t miss this great opportunity. The exhibitions are forever changing. Volunteers look forward to meeting you. The centre is open on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 10.00am to 4.00pm, and costs just £3.00. Children go free if accompanied by an adult. The centre is disability-friendly, with toilets and a lift to all floors. The cosy café and shop are free to enter.
