Local wildlife photographer, Des Lloyd, gave a talk on wildlife to be seen within two miles of Gainsborough, illustrated by his stunning photographs at a recent meeting of the Gainsborough Area Group of Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust.
His field craft and expert camera skills showed that if you stay quietly in the right place for long enough, you will be rewarded with amazing insights into the daily activities of wildlife such as badgers, brown hares, buzzards and greater spotted woodpeckers, among others. It was a fascinating evening.
On Wednesday 15th November, Chris Manning will talk about the history and ecology of deer in Lincolnshire. Talks begin at 7.30pm at St Stephen’s Methodist Church in Gainsborough. Parking is in the adjacent Roseway car park.
